The dinner was excellent and TC was great company. He was a retired businessman who had lost his wife six years earlier. An avid golfer, he came to Las Vegas often from his home in Rockport, MA. He had ordered a terrific Napa Valley Cab, which was quickly downed and the three of them were now working on a delicate Pinot Noir. During the dinner, Cindy and Ralph learned that TC's wife was from a prominent New England family and had left him a small fortune. TC had sold his business shortly after his wife passed on and had split the profits from the sale with his 20 employees, giving each a half a million dollars. Obviously, this man had a good heart.
The three of them were getting on famously. Ralph, watching Cindy and TC talk started getting some of his wild ideas. Usually he just dismissed them or kept them in mind for later when he and Cindy went to bed. Whether it was the wine or TC's warm personality, this time was different. When Cindy excused herself to go to the powder room, he decided to go for it.
"TC," he began. "I'm going to ask you something I've never asked any man and never thought I would. I feel like I've known you for years and I can see Cindy is very taken with you. Since you are a widower, would you consider helping Cindy and me fulfill a fantasy we've had for years?"
TC hesitated for a moment. The silence hung over them like a heavy curtain. Finally, he said," Well, what do you mean exactly?" Ralph explained how he and Cindy had often talked about what it would be like for her to have two men at the same time. He described how passionate a woman she was and how he sometime felt inadequate to satisfy her fully. TC said he wasn't sure he could do it; he had not been with a woman since his wife had died and had never been into anything but straight sex with his wife. However, after some more discussion, he agreed that he would come to their room but only to watch. Ralph said that would be exciting in itself and that TC did not have to do anything he didn't feel comfortable doing.
"I'm sorry to have taken so long but as usual there was a line of women waiting to use the bathroom." Ralph and TC quickly told her not to worry about it; Ralph was glad it had taken so long and thus given him a chance to discuss his idea with TC. "Sweetheart," Ralph said turning to Cindy after she was seated again, "I've asked TC up to our room for a drink. It's the least we can do to thank him properly for a delightful evening." Realizing there was no way she could delicately say no, she warmly agreed. Secretly, the same idea Ralph had discussed with TC began to swim in her head.
